The Governments of Guernsey and Jersey stand alongside the UK and the wider international community in their condemnation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the suffering being inflicted on the Ukrainian people.
The governments:
- have provided financial contributions to international humanitarian aid efforts;
- are doing all they can to help the Ukrainian nationals who are living in the Islands;
- are working with the UK authorities as visa eligibility routes are widened by the UK to facilitate family reunification;
- fully support, have implemented, and will continue to implement, all UK and UN sanctions deployed in response to Russia’s actions.
Further details of the response of the two Governments to the unfolding crisis in Ukraine can be found on their respective websites.
