Channel Islands Brussels Office (CIBO)
In late November 2011, John Curran, the Executive Director of the Jersey Competition and Regulatory Authority (JCRA) and the Director General of the Guernsey Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR), visited Brussels to attend the annual regulatory conference of the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA), at which the Vice President of the European Commission, Nellie Kroes, was a keynote speaker. While in Brussels, Mr Curran used the opportunity for contact with the Commission to raise awareness of the world class digital infrastructure in the Channel Islands and to explore possible areas of regulatory collaboration.
