Parliaments of the Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey approve in principle the inclusion of the Channel Islands in the UK/EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement

On 27 December 2020, the three Parliaments of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (The Guernsey States of Deliberation, the States of Alderney, and the Sark Chief Pleas) and the States Assembly of the Bailiwick of Jersey approved the proposed inclusion of the Channel Islands in the UK/EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), and subject to considering the full and final legal text within the 90-day confirmatory period provided for in the agreement.

The approval of the 3 parliaments of the Bailiwick of Guernsey was on the basis of  the  Proposition and Policy Letter from the Guernsey Policy and Resources Committee and the approval of the Jersey States Assembly was on the basis of the recommendation from the Jersey Council of Ministers.
