The Channel Islands are outside the EU for most purposes and thus are not eligible themselves for any EU regional development funds (ERDF). However they are eligible to participate as third countries in relevant projects. CIBO officials attended a workshop held
by the UK Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) on 7 February
on the development of the new Operational Programmes for the cross border programmes
between the UK and France (“Channel” and “Two Seas”) for the period 2014-2020.
